- THIS NOTICE IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This Sources Sought (SS) is for information and planning purposes only and is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The Department of the Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Jackson, SC (MICC) is currently requesting information in order to determine the existence of viable small business sources that are interested and capable of performing the work described herein. Responses are welcomed from all interested and capable small business firms. This SS is not restricted to a particular socioeconomic program and/or business size. MICC, Fort Jackson does not intend to award a contract on the basis of responses received as a result of this SS. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this SS. As a result of this Sources Sought, MICC-Fort Jackson may issue a Request for Proposal (RFP). THERE IS NO SOLICIATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. In support of the rapidly growing Strong Bonds Retreat Program on Fort Jackson Army Base, and in an effort to foster more effective and efficient contracting vehicles to accommodate the increasing request for Strong Bonds Retreats, the Government intends to award several Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA)s for lodging, and child care The BPAs for lodging will be established in following locations: Charleston, SC, Myrtle Beach, SC, Concord NC, and Atlanta, and could include other locations within a 250 mile radius. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to provide contracted services as set forth below and in the attached Performance Work Statement. A copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) pertaining to this requirement shall be available for review and shall be provided upon request. Responses to the SS shall be received no later than February 11, 2010. Interested firms are encouraged to: 1.Evaluate and challenge all elements of the PWS. 2.Identify requirements that account for a high percentage of total cost or are unduly restrictive. 3.Identify techniques or methods that would result in delivery of better service. 4.Identify any new technology approach or technique appropriate for the procurement described in the PWS that would result in a better performing contract or in cost savings to either party. The intended Basic Purchase Agreement is a base year with four option years. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621340. The small Business Size Standard is $7.0 M. Any interested firm should submit a Capability Statement to include experience with similar projects of a comparable magnitude. Statement should include your firms general background, experience, qualifications, and industry specific awards. A special notation should be made of similar or related programs performed for the Government including documentation with reference to the applicable contract numbers.
