- The Nashville District US Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed price contract with one (1) base period and one (1) option year to provide operation and maintenance services to Laurel River Lake. The contractor is to furnish all necessary management, personnel, materials, supplies, tools, parts, equipment and vehicles to perform the following work: grass mowing, trail maintenance, cleaning services, cleaning boat, janitorial services, water sampling, and fishing pier adjustment associated with the operation of the water resource project at Laurel River Lake, London, Kentucky. Laurel River Lake is located on Laurel River about 30 miles southeast of Somerset, Kentucky and due west of Corbin, Kentucky. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 561210 Facilities Support Services, with a small business size standard of $35.5 million per year in average annual gross revenue for the last three years. Offerors should note when the solicitation is available the changes from previous solicitations, as some items have been deleted and the frequency of some items has been decreased. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit meeting and tour, date and time to be announced in the solicitation. Please check the solicitation for the due date for proposals, which will be approximately four weeks after the initial posting date of the solicitation. Work to begin on or about 1 April 2010 and go through 31 December 2010 for a base period of 9 months, with an option to renew for one additional year. This solicitation is 100% Small-Business Set-Aside and not expected to exceed $100,000.00.
