- For Informational Purposes Only NASA GSFC has a requirement that will befulfilled under Task 176, Contract No. NNG09DA02C to provide support to the ThermalInfrared Sensor (TIRS) instrument in the areas of Scheduling and Planning, ConfigurationManagement, and General Business Support. Task 176 will be funded using AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds. The TIRS instrument is important inproviding data continuity for the Landsat Data Continuity Mission and is the criticalpath item on the mission schedule. As such, the TIRS instrument needs to be especiallyvigilant in increasing productivity and efficiency across the TIRS team. GSFC requiresthe Contractor to perform specific support services. The work will encompass all phasesof project implementation from conceptual studies through definition, design, anddevelopment; fabrication; integration; launch, preparation for pre and post-launchoperations; satellite servicing; and data acquisition, processing, distribution,analysis, and archiving. NASA GSFC has awarded Task 176 under Contract No. NNG09DA02C with ASRC Research andTechnology Services, LLC (ARTS). This contract is Cost Plus Award Fee, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity.The abovementioned contract was awarded to ARTS on a competitive basis on October 31, 2008 withperformance starting on April 28, 2009.
