- Description
- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission intends to award a sole source modification to extend the period of performance of contract number CFMO-08-CO-0098 for information technology support services for CFTC's Division of Market Oversight, with Harvey Theberge. Under the contract, Harvey Theberge is assessing the statutory requirements for reviews of exchange (e.g., Designated Contract Markets) based IT systems and developing an appropriate assessment system. The contract is currently scheduled to expire on June 1, 2010. CFTC plans to extend the contract through November 30, 2010 to enable the contractor to complete testing of the review methods and processes, provide training to CFTC's Division of Market Oversight staff on how to conduct both initial and periodic technical reviews, and transition to a successor. CFTC anticipates that by the conclusion of the extended period of performance, CFTC staff will be proficient in conducting the final review methods and processes, thus the need for an expert in conducting the statutorily required reviews of information technology in place at exchanges and clearinghouses will no longer be required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by the date and time identified above. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source extension described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of CFTC.
