Description
This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential offerors to provide security improvements and installation of a comprehensive pigeon repellent system in building 633, Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The requirements will be procured utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990. The estimated price range is between ?19,342.50 and ?77,370.00 Euros. The anticipated security modification includes but not limited to architectural, electrical, fire protection requirements such as wall construction, installation of projectile resistant glass window, security door and hardware installation, modification to fire detection, fire alarm, fire suppression system, and construction of new security turnstile. The anticipated pigeon repellent system requirement includes but not limited to cleaning hangar doors, rafters, beams, netting, walls, floors, etc, installation of biodegradable bird repellent spray, installation of programmable ultrasonic/sonic repeller units and speakers and associated equipment, installation of bird spikes and closure of bird entryways. The contract duration shall be 60 calendar days from award. Bidders can view and/or download the solicitation via the European Navy Electronic Commerce Online (EURONECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at this website. However, registration does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other notices. The solicitation is expected to be posted on 19 February 2010. Quotes are expected to be due on 19 March 2010 at 2:00PM Central European Time (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. This is an internet only solicitation so paper copies will not be provided. A pre bid conference and site visit will be indicated on the solicitation documents.
