Description
This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation is provided. This requirement is being issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures as a Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-256-10-RP-0092. VA-256-10-RP-0092 provides that the successful contractor will be required to provide removal of hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous chemical wastes at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Eastern Colorado Healthcare System (ECHCS) at 3 locations: the Denver Medical Center and the Colorado Springs and Pueblo clinics ("VA Facilities"). Quantities and frequencies of each item listed are estimates based on a per item amount at the VA Facilities. Additional chemical wastes not listed may be added to this contract by amendment by the Contracting Officer, if such wastes are identified during the process of this contract. This procurement is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business set-aside IAW FAR 19.502-2 (a). The NAICS code is 562112 and the small business size standard is $13M. The government contemplates a firm fixed price contract from this procurement. This requirement shall be completed in accordance with the Statement of Work. Period of performance is from the date of award to September 30, 2010 for the base year in addition to four (4) one year option periods with all work being completed by September 30, 2014 if options are exercised.Statement of Work: Solicitation Attached All technical question shall be submitted in writing to Garry L. Harris (garry.harris@va.gov ) by 3:00 P.M (Mountain Time) on February 19, 2010. All proposals must be submitted in accordance with instruction provided by 2:00 P.M. (Mountain Time) on March 3, 2010 at address provided in Block 9. All prospective offers must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
