Description
Dissolved Oxygen Hydrocarbon Remediation for Marine Applications This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Carderock Division. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is seeking information pertaining to Dissolved Oxygen Hydrocarbon Remediation systems. NSWCCD is requesting information on a system capable of achieving the following parameters: The system must utilize ambient air and diffuse oxygen only into the bioreactor. The system will not utilize active microbes in any nutrient formulations; however, any nutrients if used will not include nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus together. The total system dimensions, including the monitoring unit and control systems, will not exceed 8 feet (ft) wide by 20 ft long by 10 ft high. The Hydrocarbon, Dissolved Oxygen and Microbial Off gas monitoring system will be displayed and automatically recorded along with an automatic control of any additional oxygen and nutrient delivery. The remediation must be capable of reducing 30,000 gallons (gal) of 10% hydrocarbon waste to levels below 15 parts per million (ppm) in 72 hours or less. This sources sought announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract.
