Description
The United States Marine Corps Special Operations Command (MARSOC) is hosting a pre-solicitation meeting with qualified vendors on 18 February 2010. MARSOC is seeking prospective bidders to attend an informational exchange relative to a requirement to complete interior decoration (artwork and displays) of two of buildings located at the Stone Bay complex in Sneads Ferry, NC. This meeting is designed to provide vendors with insight on MARSOC's requirement and solicit ideas and an understaning of vendor's product capabilities. Description of the the Requirement. Provide museum quality artwork and displays for the Command Suite and common entry corridors of multiple builidings. Contractor will be capable of providing turnkey services, of a professional and workmanlike nature, to include design, production and installation of products. Sequence of events: On 18 February 2010 at 10:00 a.m. EST, qualified vendors will arrive at the MARSOC Headquarters located at Stone Bay complex, Sneads Ferry, NC. Vendors will be greeted by representatives of the command, recieve guidance and be given tours of the building spaces that are the subject of work to be performed. Subsequent to these tours, vendors will be provided with informational handouts and be afforded the opportunity to conduct a question and answers session relative to the requirements pertaining to work. This meeting will not constitute a formal solicitation rather an information exchange to provide insight on MARSOC's need and seek perspective solutions from vendors. Subsequent to this meeting, formal solicition will be posted via the Federal Business Opportunities website. Attendance of this meeting is a requirement for being considered as a qualified vendor for these services. The following lists those minimum requirements to be considered a qualified bidder for this work in addition to attendance of this meeting. 1) $1,000,000 liability insurance 2) Current Central Contractor Registration (CCR) 3) 10-years of provable experience 4) Ability to design and produce exhibits and artwork to museum quality/archival standards 5) Turnkey service 6) Understanding of military history 7) Minimum of three references for work of a similar nature Point of Contact.
