Description
Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSFSC), intends to issue multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to eligible vendors to provide MSFSC ships with worldwide services and supplies for shipboard fixed and portable fire fighting systems and equipment. These services will likely include inspection, certification, and repair of the ships fire fighting systems, as well as the inspection and certification of the self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for each ship. The government intends to award multiple contracts to maximize competition for each task order. The IDIQ contracts shall remain in effect up to five (5) years. Upon issuance of a request for proposal the supplier shall provide a proposal for the required services and/or supplies. The time frame for submission of a proposal will be determined by each individual requirement and contingent on the urgency of the requirement. The government requests a capabilities statement from interested vendors. The capabilities statement should include, at a minimum, the vendors’ ability to fulfill the requirement as stated, ability to satisfy urgent requirements, any applicable fire systems and equipment certification capabilities, possible travel requirements in support of MSFSC’s fleet of approximately 46 ships worldwide, vendor’s size status and any current or completed contracts for the same or similar services. Only vendors that are able to satisfy the above criteria should express an interest to the government at this time. Vendors shall be registered in the central contractor registration (CCR) and online representations & certifications (ORCA). Interested vendors should fax or e-mail their capability statements to Cheryl Somers at (757)443-5921 or e-mail at cheryl.somers@navy.mil. If there are any questions please contact Ms. Somers as indicated.
