Description
Provide two floating plants described as spud or self-elevating barges fully equipped with fuel, operator, crew, and provision for collecting and lawful disposal of wastes; including waste oils, drilling fluids, sewage, etc., accumulated during this work. Contractor will collect marine sediment samples within and adjacent to the Pascagoula Harbor located in Pascagoula, Mississippi and selected locations in the vicinity of the Mississippi Barriers Islands. The Barrier Island locations will include the Gulfport Navigation Channel, an area in Mississippi Sound north of West Ship Island, an area immediately east of Cat Island and areas south of the islands that will extend from Ship Island Pass eastward to Petit Bois Pass. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code for this procurement is 532490. The size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates whose average annual gross revenue does not exceed $7,000,000.00 million for the past (3) years. The solicitation package will be available on or about February 17, 2010. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website: https://www.fbo.gov. All prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Governments best interest. Therefore, it is the bidders responsibility to check the website for solicitation posting and any changes to the solicitation. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information. All advertisement of Mobile District projects will be through the Federal Business Opportunities (FebBizOpps). All notification of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the internet. Therefore, Offerors who have registered are required to review Federal Business Opportunity for any posted changes to the solicitation.
