- Solicitation Contractor to supply all labor, material, equipment and debris haul-off and disposal necessary to replace the LAB bathrooms wall mounted toilets (3 each) with floor mounted units. Work includes renovations to the bathrooms, replacement of minor plumbing fixtures, floor tile replacement, painting of the walls and ceilings, and a general refinish of the room. Effected units: LAB-TOIL-101, LAB-TOIL-102, LAB-TOIL-103 SCOPE OF WORK In each bathroom: •1. Remove existing 4-bolt wall mounted toilet unit(s) and replace with tank less floor mounted unit(s). (See material specs listed in Section J - Attachments). •2. Remove existing wall mount bolts. Modify inlet piping elevation as required, to include water closet flange. •3. Verify no blockage in the drain path. This will include the 3" roof vent on the plant south (compass west) wall of the men's room. •4. Install tank less floor mounted unit(s). Water supply piping modifications may be required. (New flush system to be provided by the subcontractor if the original can not be refitted). •5. Investigate wall and floor framing and plumbing condition including crawlspace underneath. If framing, plumbing, or floor insulation is degraded - stop work and alert the Process Coordinator for evaluation. DO NOT PRECEDE without appropriate work change/subcontract modifications. •6. Repair all wall opening and required. Refinish wall repairs, surface prep all walls and apply a fresh coat of paint. •7. Clean, prep and paint interior door faces only. •8. Remove and replace sinks (with like kind), faucets and drains. (Men's urinal shall remain). •9. Remove and replace all floor tiles. Clean and reset floor drain and cleanout covers. •10. Remove, refinish and reset all metal partitions. Replace any damaged or missing hardware. •11. Clean air inlet and exhaust registers prior to replacement. •12. Clean showers and caulk/seal as needed. •13. Caulk and seal all mating faces between plumbing fixtures and floor and wall surfaces. •14. Replace minor broken or missing toilet accessories, valve handles and outlet and switch covers (as required). •15. Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring that all work is done to a professional standard (plumbing secure, no leaks, paint matches, walls flush, etc.). •16. Contractor to be responsible for haul-off and disposal of all waste. Note: Wall mounted items such as mirrors, stainless sink trays, wall mounted plastic tray brackets, soap, paper towel and feminine hygiene dispensers shall be removed and reset after painting. Men's urinals, smoke detectors, emergency lights shall not be removed. •§ ANCDF will provide two each Port-A-Potties and will be staged outside the front (or back) entry door of the LAB during work execution. A permit required confined space entry evaluation shall be conducted by WA Shift Safety prior to any work in the crawlspace, underneath the building. All requirements of the permit shall be followed. •§ There shall be no interruption of service of communication, fire alarm or emergency lighting systems during work execution. (Mask/protect these devices during refinish work - DO NOT disconnect or remove). •§ Sewage drains shall be covered during off shift hours or any time work involving the piping is not ongoing. •§ All electrical switch and outlet circuit identifying labels shall be replaced in their original location. •§ Paints, adhesives and other VOC releasing product containers shall be closed when not in use. •§ Line Item Scope shall be attached and be considered part of this scope of work ( See Section J - Attachments). There shall be no deviation from the original scope except as allowed through ANCDF Subcontracts, Maintenance and Engineering, as required depending on the changes being recommended. Contractor(s) will participate in the pre-job briefing(s) to ensure that good communications is established with ANCDF Subcontracts, Engineering and Maintenance departments before any work begins. Extreme caution shall be taken to ensure that unplanned outages will not occur. Subcontractor Submittals Prior to project commencement, contractor shall provide product submittals to include product MSDSs, Product Data Sheets, plumbing fixture cut sheets and product samples for Agent Monitoring Interferant Analysis to be conducted by the WA LAB. Samples include caulks, paints, adhesives and sealants. Exception - Product used that have already been analyzed by WA LAB and deemed to be non-interferant will not require product sample submittals. Verify all product acceptances through WA Engineering prior to work commencement. Product Requests Note: Product substitutions must be submitted to WA Engineering for approval prior to work commencement. Toilets - American Standard Priolo Flow Wise Floor Mounted Back Outlet ADA compliant toilets with top mounted spud, model 3695.128 in white (020). Floor tile - Product selection to be approved by WA Laboratory Facility Area Manager (FAM) and WA Engineering. Subcontractor to provide product submittals. Paint (suggested) - Sherwin Williams Pre-Catalyzed Epoxy K-46 Series, Color 22769, semi-gloss sheen (non-interferant). If roof access is required, there shall be a modified fall protection plan in place while working on the LAB roof. This building has no lifeline (tie-off) system. Post Maintenance Testing (PMT) : Verify no leaks on toilets by a quickly repeated flushing cycle of 8 to 10 flushes on each toilet. All piping secured and non-movable through common usage. Visual walk down of the completed project by the LAB FAM or their designee and WA Engineering.
