Description
This modification is to extend the anticipated release of Invitation for Bid number RA001210023 to February 17, 2010. Bid opening will be March 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m local time. This notice also clarifys that bid bond is the bid/offer guarantee. RECOVERY-This notice is released to announce the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Northwest Regional Office (NWRO) intent to award a firm-fixed price roads construction project. The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, services, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform work consisting of grading existing gravel roadbeds and supplying surface aggregate at a 2"-4" depth on 60 miles of various roads on the Colville Indian Reservation, Nespelem, WA 99155 in accordance with the Standard Specifications, FP-03, design drawings, specifications and all contract requirements. This project will utilize the Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects (FP-03) except where indicated otherwise. A copy of this document may be found at http://flh.fhwa.dot.gov. The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Northwest Regional Office, requires a firm fixed construction project and the procurement method is Sealed Bid Procedures, FAR Part 14 and 36. The solicitation is unrestricted and is solicited on an open market basis. The estimated magnitude of this project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Bidders are urged to inspect the site where the work will be performed. This project is classified under NAICS Code 237310 and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. This solicitation is funded by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5; and the contractor shall comply with ARRA statue and all applicable laws, regulations, provisions, policies, procedures, and clauses, including but not limited to meeting the requirements of Sec 1512 of the ARRA and other accountability and transparency conditions. Please note that this is only an announcement for an upcoming solicitation. There is no solicitation packet available at this time. The anticipated release of Invitation for Bid RA001210023 is February 12, 2010. Technical questions must be submitted ten (10) calendar days before the bid opening date. Telephone requests to obtain the IFB package will not be accepted. Bidders should visit the website located at www.fedbizopps.gov periodically to look for updates. Faxed IFB's will not be accepted. Bid Bond of 20% is required with your bid package. 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance are required upon award.
