Description

A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 25 February 2010 at 09:00 a.m. Contact the Resident Office for details concerning meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements. DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Project Description: (Approx. quantities) Acquisition will be best-value RFP. Work will consist of construct a new aircraft fuel storage complex consisting of two 2,500 barrel above ground fuel storage tanks complete with secondary containment, fixed roof and internal pans, loading and unloading facilities, 2,494 SF fuel pump house, associated piping between tanks, 2165 SF operations building, 3,862 SF fuel equipment storage building, refueler parking, demolition of existing tanks and disposal of sludge. This project will provide all site improvements, utilities, pavements, 1455 LF chain-link security fencing with gates, 150 Kw Diesel emergency generator, access road, area lighting, fire protection and communications support. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $10,000,000 and $15,000,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ The solicitation will close on or about 30 March 2010. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 400 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
