SOURCES SOUGHT - MARKET SURVEY CAPABILITY ASSESSMENT FOR providing Magnetron "L" Band Electron Tubes, NSN: 5960-00-912-4434, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Logistics Center, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, OK This is a market survey for a firm fixed-priced Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide Magnetron "L" Band Electron Tubes, NSN: 5960-00-912-4434, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Logistics Center, Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, OK. Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking nor accepting unsolicited proposals. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing the required items. Items must be provided in accordance with the attached Draft Statement of Work and Specification QC-E-1/480E, dated 17 Aug 2005, "Magnetron Specification for FAA ARSR-1&2 Long Range Radars". This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334411, Magnetron Tubes Manufacturing, with a size standard of 750 employees. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. Interested vendors should also submit the following documents to the point of contact listed at the bottom of this announcement: 1. Brief Capability Statement - This document should be limited to not more than four pages and it should identify: Type of services provided by your firm, Size and type of services provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance), Number of years in business 2. Geographical areas where your company can provide services 3. Expected manufacturing and quality control approach to provide the require item using in-house, teaming, subcontracting, etc. Respondents must provide an indication of the percentage of work that will be done by eligible small, service-disabled veteran-owned and 8(a) certified businesses. All responses to this market survey must be received by close of business February 24th, 2010.
