Description
This procurement is being funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), PL. 11-5 (February 17, 2009). Center Name: Fort Simcoe Civilian Conservation Center Location: White Swan, Washington I. SOURCES SOUGHT TEXT – Renovation and Demolition Total built cost range is between $1,000,000-$2,000,000. This work is planned to take place between June 2010 and July 2011 Response Date: February 25, 2010 @3:00pm edt - The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) wishes to procure a contractor to perform renovation and demolition services. THE EXTENT OF THE WORK WILL BE DESCRIBED IN THE SOLICITATION WHEN IT IS EXPECTED TO BE POSTED ON MARCH 22, 2010. NO OTHER INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BEFORE THE SOLICITAION IS POSTED. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are HUBZone small businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties are invited to submit a capabilities statement to include three projects completed within the last five years that are relevant to the work that will be required under this project. Provide a point of contact for each project listed. Electronic versions of your capabilities statement shall be submitted VIA E-MAIL ONLY TO: arnold.johnny@dol.gov. (Johnny A. Arnold II, Contract Specialist,) Responses are due by FEBRUARY 25, 2010 by 3:00 p.m. EDT. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR). Information regarding registration can be found at http://www.ccr.gov/. The work is for renovation of the dining hall and food preparation portions of the Cafeteria/Culinary Arts Building. The existing building totals approximately 11,740 gross square feet with approximately 9,100 gross square feet associated with the food preparation, food service and dining areas, and approximately 2,640 gross square feet associated with culinary arts training. The kitchen and dining portions of the building were constructed in 1975 with an addition to the building for the culinary arts vocation, constructed by the center, which was completed in 2002. The project consists of phases. Which consists of the demolition of two (2) dormitory buildings and the restoration of the temporary serving and dining space.
