- UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT SEEKS LEASED WAREHOUSE SPACE IN ARCATA, CA STAR #: 9CA2475 The United States Government seeks to lease warehouse space. The space offered must consist of approximately 2,415 rentable square feet in Arcata, CA. The space should yield 2,100 ANSI/BOMA usable square feet. The space should consist of warehouse storage for items such as boating equipment and other large equipment. A boat washing station is desired in a suitable outside location, including a paved ground surface, water spigot, and adequate drainage. Surface runoff should be designed to avoid entry to a storm drain system due to a need to remove invasive aquatic species from equipment. One unisex restroom is needed with at least one emergency shower and eyewash station is needed in an obvious location with floor drains nearby. An outside storage space of approximately 1200 square feet adjacent or close to the building is needed for storage of large scientific equipment including boats and traps. The entire warehouse, parking, and outside storage area must be adequately fenced to prevent theft and/or damage. Ceiling heights needs to be a minimum of 14 feet and door openings need to be a minimum of 12 feet. With at least one preferably two overhead doors are necessary. Adequate lighting to conduct intricate tasks with hand and power tools is necessary. Lighting requires switches in proximity to each outside entry door. At least two weatherproof duplex 120VAC outlets are needed in closed proximity to the parking. Normal spacing of duplex 120VAC electrical outlets every 8' linear distance is sufficient. A single 220VAC outlet is necessary for equipment such as compressors and power tools. A security system is also needed that will allow tracking of who gains access to the space. In addition to the above, The Government will require three (3) surface parking spaces exclusive of the boat washing area. The proposed space must be located within the following delineated area: North: Highway 200/ North Bank Road South: Highway 255/ Samoa Boulevard East: Highway 101 to L K Wood Boulevard to St. Louis Road to West End Road to Arlington Way to West End Road to Ericson Way to West End Road to Giuntoli Lane to Highway 101 North West: Highway 101 to Janes Road to Spear Avenue to Alliance to K Street The proposed lease is for eight (8) years, four (4) years firm, and must be fully serviced. Space must be ready for occupancy no later than April 1, 2011. The offered space must meet Government requirements for Fire and Safety and Handicapped Accessibility. Consideration shall be based on the area profile, location, and proposed security precautions if the location would be utilized. All expressions of interest submitted by brokers/agents must be accompanied by written evidence of authorization to represent the building's ownership.
