- Description
- NASA/SSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the following Commercialitem/services: Twenty-one (21) each, Equipment Cabinets to be housed in the SignalConditioning Building-Upper Level; Forty (40) each, Equipment Cabinets to be housed inthe Signal Conditioning Building-Lower Level; and Sixteen (16) each, Equipment Cabinetsto be housed in the A3 Test Control Center. The equipment cabinet frames shall beconstructed from 16 gauge steel or thicker and shall be able to support up to 1500pounds; the cabinets shall be fully welded. All welds exposed to the exterior shal befiled smooth and sharp contours eliminated; the cabinets rails shall be 14 gauge steel orthicker; the rails shall have RMU markings and have a Cage-Nut configuration (with Number10-32 Screws); the cabinet doors, side panels and top panels shall be 16 gauge orthicker; the cabinets shall be able to be mechanically connected together by bolts andnuts; the color shall be textured black powder coating and shipped with accessoriesinstalled and shipped in a fully assembled configuration; cabinets shall have provisionsfor installing seismic shock mounting bolts at the base of the unit; cabinets shall becapable of having cooling fans installed at the top of the unit; fans shall be powered by120 VAC; top of the unit shall have two 4 inch horseshoe knockouts for cable entry; powerstrips shall be twist lockable, i.e., L5-20P or L5-30P, and the overall weight of an unpopulated cabinet shall not exceed 450 pounds. Thespecifications will be included in the solicitation.The delivery of all items is six (6) weeks after contract award.The F.O.B. point is Destination.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 337127 and 500 Employees, respectively. The DPAS Ratinig for this procurement is DO-C9.The anticipated release date of Solicitation Number NNS10325390R is on or about March 3,2010 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about March 23, 2010.All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application.
