Description
RECOVERY—ROAD MAINTENANCE, NORTH ZONE, MT. BAKER-SNOQUALMIE NF THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT The Forest Service EROC-NW, contemplates releasing solicitation AG-0489-S-10-0301 for road maintenance services on asphalt and aggregate surfaced forest roads on the North Engineering Zone of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in NW Washington State. The solicitation will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective offerors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 1, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. No hard copies of solicitation documents will be issued. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. This acquisition will be issued as commercial item service contract. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is for road maintenance services on the Mt. Baker Ranger District and the Darrington Ranger District. Project sites are located east of Sedro Wooley, Washington and in the vicinity of Darrington, Washington. Work includes aggregate surface grading, ditch line and drainage structure maintenance, spot surfacing with aggregate, culvert removal and replacement, road hazard cleanup, roadside brushing, asphalt crack sealing, brooming and patching, gate and sign work and related activities. The awarded contractor will also be required to furnish operated equipment rental services for an excavator, grader, dump truck and trailer, backhoe, crawler tractor, vibratory roller, 3 axle low boy, and a service vehicle. This is an indefinite quantity contract with a minimum order amount of $440,000 and a maximum of $500,000 for all items. Specific Task Orders for work will be issued from time of contract award through March 2011. This is a 100% set-aside for certified HUBZone contractors. Offerors will be required to provide Questionnaire responses covering equipment, experience and past performance as well as price proposals. Award will be made to the offeror whose overall proposal affords the best overall value to the government. The solicitation will allow for two separate awards, one for each Ranger District, or a single award covering both Ranger Districts. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. NAICS Code 237310
