- RECOVERY ACT PROJECT RFP VA263-09-RA-0242 NIACS 236220 Z - CONSTRUCTION PROJECT - REPLACE ATS - MICU The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to accomplish the Replace ATS MICU Project located at the VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota as required by the scope of work and drawings. A.Base Bid: 1.Design the Replace ATS MICU project. 2.Demolition consists of, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of the following: wall partitions, ceiling tile/grid, wall covering, vinyl base, receptacle boxes/covers, conduit/wiring, old phone jacks/wiring, data/signal wiring, light wiring. 3.New construction consists of, but is not limited to: Installation of walls (gypsum wall board and metal studs), wall repair, flooring, painting, wall covering, suspended ceiling tile/grid, electrical conduit/wiring/devices/lighting fixtures, data/voice cables/jacks, possible fire sprinkler/piping install/relocation, HVAC duct modifications. 4.Remove wall. 5.Build a new wall. 6.Replace old ATS and install new one and relocate associated electrical equipment. 7.Upon project completion, turn over 2 copies of the Operation and Maintenance manuals to the Project Manager. O & M manuals must contain: i.Manufacturer's instructional booklets for ATS operations. ii.Parts drawings and parts numbered diagrams for ATS equipment. The VA has scheduled a site visit for this project on March 4, 2010 at 9:00 am at the VA Medical Center, Facility Engineering Service, Project Section, Room BR-145. Solicitation and scope of work documents are expected to be available at www.fbo.gov on or about February 25, 2010. In accordance with the VA Acquisition Regulations (VAAR 836.204) Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Liquidated Damages: $200.00 per calendar day, including holidays and weekends. NAICS 236220 - $31.0M applies. In accordance with PL 109-461 this project is 100% set-aside for Service disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns. All responsible and interested offerors should submit a proposal in accordance with RFP VA263-09-RA-0242. Offerors are to complete and submit their proposals (original and one copy required) not later than Monday, March 25, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
