Description
Synopsis: Fixed Predator/Reaper SATCOM Stations FA8620-08-G-4060 0005 Fixed Predator/Reaper SATCOM Stations: This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), 703d Aeronautical Systems Group (703 AESG) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to L3 Communications West for the build and delivery of Fixed Site SATCOM Terminals (FSST) and SATCOM Earth Terminal Sub-Systems (SETSS) for the MQ-1 and MQ-9 Programs. The FSST and SETSS are KU-band SATCOM communications terminals specifically configured with MQ-1/MQ-9 modems and Remote-Split Operations (RSO) hardware/interfaces unique to MQ-1/MQ-9 program. The FSST procurement consists of modular SATCOM hardware designed to add increased communications and RSO capability at existing MQ-1/MQ-9 OCONUS/CONUS communication nodes previously upgraded with FSST systems. The SETSS terminal hosts unique Single-Mode, Multi mode and legacy interfaces via a Predator Modem Assembly (PMA) to allow connectivity with MQ-1/MQ-9 ground stations. This procurement includes initial spares for the both FSST and SETSS terminals. L3 Communications is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the Predator/Reaper system, and is the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to perform these efforts. The government does not own the data rights for the system; therefore, to avoid duplication costs, the government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is published to notify potential subcontractors that this is anticipated to be a new effort awarded on a sole-source basis. For subcontracting opportunities, interested parties may submit appropriate information via email to Richard.P.Slabinski@L-3com.com at L-3 Communications West. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement action is 334290. Please indicate number of employees relative to the size standard of 750 for determination of small business status. Responders shall include their assigned DUNS number and their Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code. The 703 AESG/SYK Point of Contact for this action is 703aesg.syk@WPAFB.AF.MIL.
