- Services, Non-Personal, Repair: The contractor shall provide all labor,facilities, equipment and all material to repair, test, packing andpackaging and return to the government in accordance with the workspecifications contained in the contract, the line items of Air Forceequipment listed below. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplatedfor a basic year and four - one year period of performance. The itemsand estimated quantities are as follows: CLIN 0001: NSN: 6680-01-084-2326, P/N: FG243A4, Noun: Oil Temp LiquidTransmitter, Application: E-8 Aircraft, Qty: - 17 each Basic year, 11each Option I, Option II 16 ea, Option III 14ea, and Option IV 15 each.CLIN 0002: Data IAW 1423s, CLIN 0003: Over and Above. The approximateissue will be 45 days after issuance of this synopsis. Deliveries areto be 2 ea 30 Days ARO or as negotiated. No telephone requests. Onlywritten or faxed requests received directly from the requestor areacceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid,proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Authority: 10 U.S.C.2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are availablefrom only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no othertype of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Theproposed contract action is for supplies and services for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limitednumber of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested personsmay identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirementor submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fortyfive-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basicordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will beconsidered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not tocompete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice issolely within the discretion of the Government. Information receivedwill normally be considered solely for the purpose of determiningwhether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested thatsmall business firms or others interested in subcontractingopportunities in connection with the described procurement make contactwith the firm(s) listed. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating tothe procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot befurnished by the Government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed tohear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposaldevelopment phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman isnot to diminish the authority of the program director or contractingofficer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements,and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. Whenrequested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as tosource of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in theevaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
