Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract on a sole source basis with BAE Systems Aerospace & Defense Group 7822 S 46th ST. Phoenix, AZ 85044 for requirements for Non-Ejection Seat Endurance (NESE) cushion sets for the H-53E, UH-1Y, AH-1W/Z, SH-60B, SH-60F, MH-60R, MV-22B, C-2, and E-2. A cushion set consists of a seat pan cushion, a seat back cushion and lumbar support, but certain platforms may not need all three components of the set. BAE Systems are the manufacturer of the non-ejection crashworthy seats that are currently deployed throughout the Fleet in the H-53E, UH-1Y, AH-1Z, SH-60B, SH-60F, MH-60R, MV-22B, C-2 and E-2 aircraft. These seats are Critical Safety Items (CSI) and were designed to minimize injury risk during crash and mishap events.
