Description
This is a sources sought notice for information and acquisition planning purposes only. This is not a Request for Proposal nor does it constitute a promise to issue an RFP at some point in the future. The Government will not pay for any effort expended or material provided in response to this announcement, nor will the Government return any data provided. Furthermore, there will be no response provided to companies regarding their capability IAW FAR 15.202. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) is seeking small business vendors that can provide rental of high pressure air compressors (HPAC) and also low pressure air compressors (LPAC) to be delivered for use at the Naval Submarine Base in Point Loma. The following features are required: HPAC REQUIRED FEATURES:HPAC shall be a five stage, direct air cooled, oil lubricated reciprocating compressor with crankshaft driven oil pump, low oil pressure switch, oil pressure gauge, full flow oil filter, inlet filter, Intercoolers and after coolers, separators, safety valves, and drain valves. HPAC shall deliver a minimum of 75 scfm at 4500 psig. HPAC shall include high pressure air hoses at a minimum of 200ft and each hose shall be tested and certified at 10,000 psi.1) 4500 psig; 75 scfm; high pressure air hoses, minimum of 200ft, each hose shall be tested and certified at 10,000 psi. LPAC REQUIRED FEATURES:LPAC shall deliver a minimum of 200 scfm at 125 psi. LPAC shall be an air cooled rotary screw with safety controls and sound enclosure. LPAC shall include a 240 gallon receiver with relief valves, manual drain and manifold with 4 services valves. Receiver and compressor mounted on a common base. LPAC shall include a minimum of 200 ft of low pressure hose certified and tested at 125 psi. Both the High pressure air and low pressure air compressors will have electrical hook-ups (not to be fuel powered).The applicable NAICS code is 532490 "Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing." Interested small business vendors shall submit a capabilities statement which shall include company name, address, business size status (small, small disadvantaged, women owned, HUBzone, veteran-owned, or service-disabled veteran-owned), and point of contact (POC) information for the interested firm. The capabilities statement shall not exceed five pages and should identify, by contract number, past or current contracts and/or subcontracts that were awarded to your firm, period of performance, contract, type, contract amount, contract description and a customer POC. Responses should be received no later than 8 MAR 2010. All responses should be forwarded to Ms. Angela D. Encarnacion via email, angi.encarnacion@navy.mil.
