Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure on a sole source basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures The proposed contract action is for Stylus Unit UMAP 103-30 um diameter stylus module for UMPA Ultra system and UMAP100-100um diameter stylus module for UMPA Ultra system. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302-1(a)(2) 'Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements' with Mitutoyo America Corporation, 965 Corporate Blvd, IL 60502-9176. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responses must be received by 03/03/2010 by 12:00 pm EST.
