Description
Notice of Intent to Award The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Red River Computer Company, Inc. (Red River) against its GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract (GS35F0312K) to obtain routers, servers, network switches and VOIP equipment in support of its field and international offices. The FDA competed the BPA in accordance with the requirements of FAR Subpart 8.405. The Request for Quotations for that acquisition has closed. As part of its solution comprised of over 300 components making up 23 configurations of equipment and software, Red River proposed incidental/open market items. These items include: a single model of VOIP phone; certain integrated components of an VOIP conference station; certain integrated components of a VOIP Unity Hardware/Software configuration; certain integrated components of a VOIP CallManger Hardware/Software package; two types of power sources for routers (one for each of two models of routers); extra memory for one model of router; one network switch; CISCO hardware maintenance support package for certain items of CISCO hardware on GSA schedule and the BPA; and certain integrated components of three classes of windows servers. These items complete Red River’s overall solution. In all cases, the incidental/open market items are integral components to configurations in which virtually all of the items are on GSA schedule. Acquiring these components from one source will provide a single point of contact for ordering, staging deliveries, and accountability for delivery issues and non-performing units or components. Due to the quantities being ordered and multiple delivery locations, it is of paramount importance to ensure that deliveries are appropriately coordinated and FDA’s administrative oversight is minimized. The period of performance for this requirement is from date of award through March 15, 2015. The NAICS code is 334111 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations and no solicitation document is available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give notification to the Contract Specialist by 8:00am local eastern time on March 14, 2010. Interested firms must furnish supporting evidence with sufficient detail to demonstrate its ability to comply with the requirement described above. Interested firms may email the information to the Contract Specialist, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Attn: Jennifer Fagan at the email below. The FDA will review all responses received; however, the Government retains the sole discretion not to further compete the proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice. If the FDA does not receive any responses, the FDA will proceed with BPA award to: Red River Computer Company; 21 Water Street; Suite 500; Claremont, NH 03743. The anticipated award date of this BPA is on or around March 20, 2010. FDA will not accept any collect calls. If you have any questions regarding this announcement, please contact Jennifer Fagan at (301) 443-5861 or via email at jennifer.fagan@fda.hhs.gov
