- The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.501) with Abbott Vascular 3200 Lakeside Dr Santa Clara CA 95054-2807, as the only responsible source that can provide the a Everolimus-eluting Coronary Stent on Multi-link vision as a requirement by National Naval Medical Center Bethesda. This acquisition is being conducted under the FAR 13.5 test procedures for commercial items. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24 are incorporated. National Naval Medical Center Bethesda has a need for the Everolimus-eluting Coronary Stent on Multi-link vision. The Stent must meet the following minimum requirements: A. Must be FDA approved for stenting discrete de novo, restenotic lesions in native coronary arteries. B.Available in 2.5mm to 4.0mm in diameter, various lengths, 8, 12, 15, 18, 23 and 28mm. C.Available mounted on a high pressure balloon in over-the-wire delivery systems. Items being purchased in this acquisition: 3.5mm x 15mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 4.0mm x 15mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 2.5mm x 18mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 2.75mm x 18mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 3.0mm x 18mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 3.5mmx18mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 4.0mm x 18mm XIENCE V STENT (OTW), 2.5mm x 8mm XIENCE V STENT (RX), 2.75mm x 8mm XIENCE V STENT (RX), 3.0mm x 8mm XIENCE V STENT (RX), 3.5mm x 8mm XIENCE V STENT (RX), 2.5mm x 12mm XIENCE V STENT (RW), 2.75mm x 12mm XIENCE V STENT (RX) This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 339112 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable system is provided by Abbott Vascular.
