- The Wilmington VA Medical Center, Wilmington DE intends to enter into a sole source contract with Talihina Technologies, 3750 W. Main Ste 3, Park F, Norman, OK 73072-4657 to re-cable all voice and data lines at the Wilmington, Delaware VA Medical Center. This construction project is in support of the relocation of the demarcation and new telephone system. Talihina Technologies is a service disabled, veteran owned small business. They currently provide the Wilmington VAMC with all cabling needs and have extensive knowledge of the cabling pathways throughout the medical center. One of the main facets of this contract is the complete re-cabling of the ground floor offices. Talihina has unique knowledge of this area since they were awarded the original contract for this work. Their ability to identify the existing cabling and remove this cabling as needed for this portion of the project is something very familiar to this contractor. The contractors knowledge of the cabling system at the Wilmington VAMC environment will also mean less interruption to patient care during the construction period. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237130. The size standard is $33.5 Million. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement will be based on responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government must receive all responses to this notice by 4:00 pm (EST), March 5, 2010. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be in writing to the Contracting Officer.
