- NASA/KSC has a requirement for launch day bus transportation for NASAs SpaceFlight Awareness (SFA) Honorees to view the four remaining scheduled launches (April 2010through December 2010). The first planned launch date (STS-131) is currently scheduled atNASA, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Florida, on April 5, 2010. Approximately 12 buses willbe required in order to transport approximately 630 Honorees. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercialitem using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part13. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-38. Please seeattached solicitation for statement of work, quote requirements, and evaluation criteria.This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and thesmall business size standard for this procurement are 485510 and 4 respectively. Theofferor shall state in their offer their size status for this procurement.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.All offerors must have an active Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and registered inORCA. This information can be found at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ andhttps://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced,technically acceptable offeror. Technical acceptability will be determined by review ofinformation submitted by the offeror which must provide a description in sufficientdetail to show that the products offered meets the Government's requirements.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to Donny Wood, OP-OS,Kennedy Space Center FL 32899, donald.wood@nasa.gov no later than March 11, 2010.Offerors will submit quotes via email to the address above by 7:00 AM, EST March 17,2010. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release ofamendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copyof this notice, and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASASpecific Note 'B'.
