- [ PSYCHIATRIST FOR MANCHESTER VAMC STATEMENT OF WORKThis statement of work is a comprehensive, non restrictive, performance oriented specification for the provision of services for the VAMC Manchester, NH to obtain contracted comprehensive psychiatric services. Perform all duties and responsibilities of a staff psychiatrist. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing comprehensive mental health evaluation, psychopharmacology and brief motivational and solution-focused treatments to veterans, utilizing evidence-based integrated care practices, which include standardized assessment, telephone care management and clinical outcomes measurement (specifically for depression, alcohol and PTSD). The Manchester Mental Health Service Line Manager, or designee, will be responsible for making assignments. "Hold regularly scheduled psychiatric clinics according to the current clinic schedule for 40 hours per week; The work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8AM thru 4;30PM. "Services to be performed by the contractor will be performed within the VA policies and procedures and the regulations of the medical staff by-laws of the VA facility. "The incumbent is a member of the mental health team and will be required to perform the full range of clinical duties at the VAMC Manchester, NH. Participates in the screening, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of all referred patients. Completes appropriate follow-up examinations and medication management. Incumbent reviews medical information and treats mental health needs on all referred and assigned patients. Incumbent consults with patients, their families, other medical professionals, attorneys, and other appropriate persons to interpret clinical findings. Incumbent leads facilitate and coordinates treatment planning and assigns person responsible for following-up on established goals and objectives. "Consultant services as a consultant to other staff members of the VA facility including primary care staff, nurses, social workers, psychologists, etc., in the area related to the psychiatric treatment of patients. "He/she will conduct both group and individual therapy for patients. "A progress note must be completed for each episode of outpatient care on the same day of the visit. "Must be able to perform examinations, diagnosis, and treatment, be effective in handling emergencies, patient management and document in patient records. "Incumbent may be involved in patient evaluation, treatment and consultative activities on demand from the primary care clinic at the VAMC Manchester, NH. "Contractor must be board eligible or certified in Psychiatric Services and hold a valid license. "This contract is for the hours of 8AM thru 430PM Monday thru Friday "Preference will be given to candidates who have recently undergone vetpro credentialing.
