- This Market Survey is for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting proposals at this time. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of:- Two (2) new diesel-powered, 8HDKAU 41934 8kW Quiet generators, with factory installation and test of EMP Oil Mate, p/n P000174002 and Onan Water Separator, p/n 149-2573.- Two (2) each Parts Manuals, p/n 983-0202D- Two (2) each Service Manuals, p/n 983-0501D. This requirement is to be delivered F.O.B Destination to Tucson, AZ 85756 The NAICS Codes for this requirement is 423830, 423840, and 444210. At this time the nature of the competition has not been determined. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses and 8(a) certified firms, capable of providing Laboratory Analytical Support Services, per the attached Performance Work Statement. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. Interested firms are required to submit the attached Business Declaration form and a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: (1) A list identifying units and specification sheet(s) showing that the units meet the above listed requirements. The list must identify each specific manufacturer with their manufacturer's part number.(2) Provide earliest possible lead time for delivery of completed product.(3) Provide a description of the terms and conditions of warranties and the processes and procedures (for each specific manufacturer and manufacturer's part number). This information is required in order for the FAA to obtain warranty repair service, if required.(4) Complete and return the attached Business Declaration Form, with response. The form is provided as a separate document under this announcement. The FAA reserves the right to review and verify each offeror's program eligibility.(5) Provide a copy of SEDB/8(a) Certificate, if applicable. Vendors must respond directly to the Contracting Specialist identified. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements called out in this market survey must respond with their documentation in writing to the Contracting Specialist, barbara.smith@faa.gov. Mark responses to this survey with Market Survey File DTFAAC-10-R-03275, to arrive by Thursday, March 18, 2010. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. Individual company responses will not be disclosed to other vendors. This announcement shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services. Responders to this announcement may be based to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal. This notice is for informational purposes for SEDB/8a Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
