- This is a Sources Sought Announcement only. The VA Central California Health Care System located at 2615 E. Clinton Ave., Fresno, CA has a need to hire an Architect/Engineering firm for the design of additional clinical research space on the 3rd floor of Building 24 over the existing 2nd floor roof. This space is expected to be configured to support office/ administrative/classroom type space (approximately 3,000 GSF). A second elevator shall be designed to travel from the first to the third floor. The A/E shall also conduct an analysis of the existing seismic building components and design seismic corrections for the entire building including this new addition to meet the current International Building Code. At this point in the procurement process the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine if sufficient competition exists in one of the following Socio-economic categories; Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone Small Business, and Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)). Interested firms fitting one or more of these Socio-economic categories should send their information by e-mail to denise.groves@va.gov or by fax to 559-228-6912 no later than 3:00PM PST March 19, 2010. Information shall include type of socio-economic category and the firms' location. NOTE: Interested firms shall be located within 150 miles of the VA Central California facility. No other information is required. The NACIS code for this procurement will be 541330.
