- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a not a total small business set-aside. This solicitation number is RFQ1480065 and solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on behalf of the National Institute on Aging (NIA) has a requirement one Sequencing System that offers applications in DNA Sequencing, Gene Regulation Analysis, Sequencing-Based Transcriptome Analysis, SNP Discovery and Structural Variation Analysis, Cytogenetic Analysis, DNA-Protein Interaction Analysis, Sequencing-Based Methylation Analysis, and Small RNA Discovery and Analysis. The NIA needs a high sequencing output and fast data generation rate. It requires a system that generates up to 200 Gb per run and up to 25 Gb per day, essentially allowing the NIA to obtain more sequence information faster. Additionally, the NIA will have increased flexibility in planning of the experiments. The NIA requires a system that offers independently operable analysis applications that will allow various read lengths to run simultaneously. The NIA has approximately 1,400 samples that are projected to be run on this equipment and each run can last up to 5 days that flexibility will be more manageable. Offers will also be evaluated on best value in relation to price. Quotations are to be sent electronically to nsangous@mail.nih.gov. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Condition Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
