Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for Hydraulic Cylinders. This procurement is being solicited as 100% set aside for Small Business, and associated NAICS code is 333995 with a respective size standard of 500 employees. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) database before receiving a contract award go to www.ccr.gov to register. This announcement constitutes the solicitation (W911WN-10-T-0019), and attachments thereto, can be downloaded and printed by accessing: www.fbo.gov. Furnish new replacement hydraulic cylinders as described below and as shown on the attached reference drawings. Replacement cylinders shall be heavy duty mill type for hydraulic oil service, conforming to Joint Industry Council standards. All cylinders shall be rated at not less than 2,000 psi. Cylinders shall be double acting, foot mounted and shall be exact replacements for the existing cylinders, requiring no modifications of existing components to install and operate the machinery correctly. Piston rods shall be chrome plated stainless steel with rod end design as indicated on the reference drawings. Cylinder packing and gasket material shall be suitable for use with hydraulic oil conforming to MIL-L-17672B, Symbol 2135 T-H. Rod end packing glands shall be adjustable and piston seals shall be of the zero leak type. Plugged bottom drain ports and top bleed/gage ports shall be provided at both ends of each cylinder.
