UNDER CONTRACTNUMBER NNA08CG83C FOR INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT (ISRDS) ATNASA AMES RESEARCH CENTER (ARC) LOCATED AT MOFFETT FIELD, CA. THIS IS AUTHORIZED UNDERTHE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA). ARC modified contract numberNNA08CG83C to fully fund Task Order 66 with ARRA funds. ARC issued Task Order 66, titledVerification & Validation (V&V) of Flight Critical Systems (VVFCS). This task supportsNASA Recovery Act work sponsored by the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate and theAviation Safety Program. Research funded by Recovery Act within the Aviation SafetyProgram will focus on developing innovative tools, concepts, methods, and technologiesthat will improve the intrinsic safety attributes of current and future aircraft and ofaviation operations. The VVFCS Assessment Studys goal under this Recovery Act funding isto significantly improve the verification and validation capabilities of researchers andengineers in civilian aerospace with respect to safety. In support of these efforts, thecontractor shall develop two techniques that are used for verification and validation ofsoftware intensive flight critical systems. Specifically the contractor shall develop amodel checker for flight system design models and a static analysis tool to analyzeexisting software code used in flight systems.Task Order 66 is fully funded by theRecovery Act. <P>The Intelligent Systems Research and Development Support (ISRDS) contract numberNNA08CG83C was made on a competitive basis. <P>This announcement is for informational purposes only.
