- Description
- RECOVERY - Expansion of Northern and Southern California Seismic Network Microwave Systems The U.S. Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Earthquake Hazards Team has a requirement to expand the Northern and Southern California Seismic Network Microwave System. The work will require the contractor to perform the following: 1.Perform a network study to identify equipment needs in the field at proposed USGS microwave sites including performing path analysis. 2.Design a microwave radio system for the NCSN and SCSN networks taking into account existing systems in place on the NCSN. 3.Assemble and provide the equipment needed to implement the new system. 4.Provide and install site-specific support equipment, hardware, or features (specified in Appendices B and C). 5.Provide required engineering and services for radio system testing, installation, and commissioning. 6.Provide and configure systems-monitoring software for the SCSN and NCSN equipment. 7.Perform cut over from the existing system as required to the new system in a manner that minimizes the loss of continuous real-time seismic data carried over any existing systems at the sites. 8.Provide post-acceptance warranty and customer support. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, firm-fixed price (FFP) type contract. The required performance period is anticipated to start approximately 30 days after award through September 2011. The solicitation and any documents/files related to this procurement will be available on the internet on or about 26 Mar 2010. A formal solicitation is not available for release at this time. This requirement is unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 517919 and the size standard is $25M. There is no incumbent contractor. Full funding for requirements to be completed by resultant contract award may utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract. Please direct all questions and concerns to the Contract Specialist, Reggie Solomon, via email at rsolomon@usgs.gov. (ATN: SE0022)
