Description
The Air Force Material Command, Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, Eglin AFB, FL contemplates a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, FA8651-10-D-0191, to Aeromech Engineering, Inc. for Wing Test Assets for a Joint Capability Technology Demonstration, using the Acquisition for Experimental or Testing Purposes (AETP) authority under 10 U.S.C. 2373. The primary objective is to provide Wing Test Assets for a Joint Capability Technology Demonstration. The NAICS code is 336411. This requirement is for carbon fiber wing test assets manufactured by Aeromech Engineering, Inc. The generic wings are for multiple Small Unmanned Aerial System (SUAS) platforms and are of the SD7043 profile with a constant chord of 3.125 inches, no twist or taper, and a span of 14". The rear wings include a control surface that is 25% of the total chord of the wing. The control surface must be able to deflect a minimum of +/- 30 degrees. The surface is driven by a servo limited to 40 in-oz of torque. Torque required to drive the surface to 25 degrees deflection should not exceed 25 in-oz. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, interested parties may submit statements of capability.
