Description

Redacted Justification and Approval (J&A) for other than full and open competition (MDA J&A 09-001). The Missile Defense Agency has definitized the award of an Undefinitized Contract Action that was made on a sole source basis to Orbital Sciences Corporation, of Chandler, Arizona under its existing firm-fixed-price contract, HQ0147-08-C-0003. Under the terms of the contract modification, Orbital Sciences is performing Medium Range Target system integration, mission planning and launch services in support of the Aegis Flight Target Mission FTM Event 16E2 (FTM-16E2) under the contract's CLIN 0005. The work will be performed in Chandler, Arizona with launch services at the Pacific Missile Range Facility. This requirement is estimated to be completed by March 2011. The FTM-16E2 work scope under CLIN 0005 was definitized for $16,687,821; exclusively using Fiscal Year 2009 Research, Development, Test and Evaluation funds.
