- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for Steelcase Series 70 Details Adjustable Work surfaces for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The use of a brand name specification is essential to the Government's requirements and precludes consideration of a product manufactured by another company. The solicitation reference number is H94003-10-R-5609. The NAICS code is 337214 and the size standard is 500 employees. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received prior to March 18, 2010 at 3:00pm will be considered by the Government. The delivery location is Defense Microelectronics Activity, 4234 54th Street, McClellan, CA 95652. The notice is for the purchase of 10 each A7LQ46234623U Series 7 - 90 Degree Details work surfaces to match existing stations. Desired delivery date is 30 Jun 2010. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-37. The following FAR clauses apply: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items and FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive, Orders -- Commercial Items.
