- CBIRF VENDOR DAYREQUEST FOR INFORMATION Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) will be conducting a Technical/Vendor Day for the command. CBIRF's mission statement is as follows:"When directed, forward-deploy and/or respond to a credible threat of a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or High Yield Explosive (CBRNE) incident in order to assist local, state, or federal agencies and Unified Combat Commanders in the conduct of consequence management operations. CBIRF accomplishes this mission by providing capabilities for agent detection and identification; casualty search, rescue, and personnel decontamination; and emergency medical care and stabilization of contaminated personnel." The intent to conduct this Vendor Day is to provide commercial sources the opportunity to introduce and display their services and/or supplies that could be beneficial in our command's operational capabilities, promoting new innovative ideas and products within the CBRNE Environment. The Vendor Day will be conducted on the 18th of May 2010 aboard Naval Surface Warfare Center Base Indian Head, Maryland. The address is as follows: Chemical Biological Incident Response Force3399 Strauss Ave. Suite 219Indian Head, MD 20640 Each vendor, upon review and acceptance by the contracting office, will be given the opportunity to come aboard the base and promote their capabilities to the command. Those vendors will be able to come set up their own display table the afternoon before the 18th of April. Each vendor will be given approximately 8' x 8' area to set up. 6' to 8' tables shall be provided by the command; dividers must be supplied by the vendor. If more space is needed, please reply so, along with the additional space requested. CBIRF cannot guarantee additional space, due to the limitations in overall space, but the attempt will be made. The intent of this Request For Information is to to receive responses from those prospective contractors interested in this Vendor Day. Any interested contractors in this RFI shall submit an email to SSgt. Brent Patterson at brent.patterson@usmc.mil. In the email, each contractor shall submit an electronic business card and/or information of the business's services and/or supplies that are to be promoted to the command. All responses shall be received NO LATER THAN 1600 HOURS (EST) ON 24 MARCH 2010. Upon receipt of all responses, the CBIRF contracting office as well as the CBIRF Tech Cell will review those businesses interested and choose those that would meet the best interest in the CBRNE realm and be in the best interest of the command. Space is limited for this vendor day, therefore, space and limitation will be a factor in the approval process. After the list of approved vendors is finalized and approved, those prospective contractors will receive a formal invitation by the contracting office.
