Description

This project is funded with American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funds. This project is being advertised under full and open (unrestricted) competition. PROJECT DETAILS: This project provides pavement preservation of the paved surfaces in the South Rim portion of Grand Canyon National Park. Grand Canyon National Park is located in Coconino County of Arizona in the northwest portion of Arizona. The preservation treatments being used are chip seals and modified slurry seals. Other construction applications used on a lesser scale are pavement patching, crack sealing and pavement markings. The work on the South Rim includes 725,000 square yards of chip seals and 359,000 square yards of modified slurry seals. This work would also include approximately 8,000 square yards of pavement patching. Tentative advertisement date is March 31, 2010 Estimated cost $4.0 to $8.0 million PLEASE NOTE: The Invitation for Bid will be available for download on or after March 31, 2010, from the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at www.fedbizopps.gov.
