Description
RECOVERY-Elkhorn Trails Maintenance-THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The USDA Forest Service, Wallowa-Whitman National Forest has a requirement for trails maintenance within and adjacent to the North Fork John Day and Monument Rock Wilderness area. This project is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). Inclusion of unique provisions required by the Act are included in the contract. The projects consists of 2 areas for a total of 23 trails of approximately 90.6 miles. Estimated start date is 2011. The work consists of light to moderate logout and maintenance clearing of up to 40 downed and leaning trees exceed 6' diameter per mile; cleaning existing drainage structures (waterbars, turnpikes, culverts, ditches, etc) and clearing rocks and woody debris from trail beds. Wilderness work within the North Fork John Day/Monument Rock Wilderness area shall be limited to non-motorized tools (crosscut saws, loppers, etc) and no motorized equipment shall be permitted in these areas. Contractor(s) shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, materials, supplies and incidentals in order to perform trail maintenance. Contractor(s) shall be required to comply with all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to activities on the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, Minimum Impact Camping Techniques. This contract may be awarded to more than one contractor resulting in a multi-award contract. Registrations: In order to receive an award, contractor must have a DUNS number, be registered in CCR, be registered in ORCA, and be registered in NIH CPS.
