Description

The Center for Grain and Animal Health Research (CGAHR), 1515 College Ave., Manhattan, KS 66502, conducts innovative research and develops new technologies to solve problems related to flour production; CGAHR is in need of a new Milling Machine. One of the CGAHR requirements for a Mill is that bushels of wheat can be continuously milled. The experimental milling system must be capable of performing the U.S. Hard Winter Wheat Crop Survey. Should be capable of producing at least six (6) flour products, this provides considerably more information how the wheat sample might perform on a large-scale commercial mill, which is a critical requirement of the crop survey. Consistency in data methods is of paramount importance. This is a sources sought. A requirement does not currently exist. Funds are not currently available to procure this Grain Mill. Manufacturers are invited to submit their product information for review prior to a possible future requirement.
