Notice Type:Special Notice Synopsis: TOSHIBA SERVICE AGREEMENT - Notice of Intent to award Sole Source Date Posted: 03/17/2010 Closing Date: 03/25/2010 The Department of Veterans Affairs, James E VanZandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, Pennsylvania, intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order in accordance with FAR Part 12. The North America Industry Classification System Code [NAICS] is 811219 and the size standard is $7.0 M. The government has determined that Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc is the only source that can satisfy this agency requirement. The requirement is to provide Preventative Maintenance, Calibration, and Repair according to Manufacturer Specifications and Requirements for In-Touch service agreement on the Toshiba Aplio XG Ultrasound System (#SSA-790R-UL). If any responsible source believes they are capable of meeting this requirement, they may submit a response to this notice. If received by March 25, 2010, the response will be considered by The Department of Veterans Affairs, James E VanZandt VA Medical Center in Altoona, PA. This notice of intent to award sole source is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals. Any company that feels they have items that meet the needs of the Government must submit their technical data (2 pages or less) to support their claim. The information must explain the company's ability to overcome the restriction of patent rights and proprietary rights for software associated with this system.
