Description

The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, based on the need for experimental continuity. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Momentive Performance Materials, 24400 Highland Rd, Richmond Heights, OH, 44143 for the following Momentive proprietary modified silica material to be used for ongoing investigation and testing purposes. (10 Ea) 2.5 diameter pucks of different Momentive compositions (5 Ea) 12x12x1 plates of Momentive composition 1 (10) 12x12x1/2 plates of composition 1 (5 Ea) 12x12x1 plates of Momentive composition 2 (10 Ea) 12x12x1/2 plates of Momentive composition 2 (5 Ea) 12x12x1 plates of Momentive composition 3 (10 Ea) 12x12x1/2 plates of Momentive composition 3 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice are due on or before 03/31/2010 11:59 PM MST, by email at martha.robles@arl.army.mil.
