- Description
- 2010 AIR FORCE/INDUSTRY ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY INTERCHANGE WORKSHOP FOR INDEPENDENT RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT (IR&D) AND SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) COMMERCIALIZATION PILOT PROGRAM (CPP). The Electronic Systems Center (ESC), and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) will conduct an electronic system technology interchange workshop in the third week of June 2010 in Waltham, Massachusetts. This invitation to attend the workshop is open to DoD military, civilians, DoD technical support contractors, and Industry contractors that maintain a valid DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. This ESC-AFRL workshop will be composed of two parts: a general Plenary Session and simultaneous tracks of break-out sessions in IR&D and SBIR CPP. The Plenary Session will consist of briefings from ESC and AFRL on Air Force near and mid-term electronic system technology needs. Following this overview, the Air Force will clarify its needs during the question and answer (Q&A) sessions that it will hold with each major contractor. At the same time, one-on-one sessions between prime contractors and small businesses as well as one-on-one sessions between prime contractors and SBIR Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs) will be held to address opportunities to transition specific SBIR projects to major contractors. Please note small businesses attendance is by invitation from prime contractors only. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not obligate the government in any way. Response to this request is voluntary and will not impact any future acquisitions. RESPONSE: Please respond, to the appropriate point of contact as shown below, no later than 60 calendar days before the first day of the workshop with your intent to attend the workshop and a copy of your DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. RESTRICTIONS: These meetings are unclassified, U.S. Defense companies only. In order to attend, you must either be a DoD employee or DoD contractor with a valid DD Form 2345. LIMITATIONS: Due to resource constraints and expectations for responses to this announcement, we anticipate having a more limited group of companies to participate in these sessions.
