Description

The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to technical questions submitted. Questions and responses are hereby provided. The due date for quotations, March 23, 2010, at 3:30 PM Eastern Time, remains unchanged. QUESTION 1: Has an 3He gas allocation been approved by he Department of Energy for this requirement? Shall 3He be included in the cost of line item 0001 or as a separate line item? If it is to be included, what cost basis should be used? RESPONSE1: NIST has a fairly large approved allocation of 3He gas earmarked for use in a number of projects. This detector is one of those projects. The resultant purchase order from NIST should serve as an indication to the Department of Energy or gas vendor that this is an approved use. NIST intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from this solicitation. It is the decision of the quoter how to quote the 3He.
