Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the Governments intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for the following commercial off-the-shelf hardware: 1) P/N: 900-100569-101, Engineering Development Unit, Qty: 1 ea 2) VXWSP-CM4-CM4 Board Support Package for Tornado/VxWorks, Qty: 1 ea 3) TDRV011-SW-42 TPMC316-50-C1 VxWorks Software Support Legacy and VxBus-enabled Software Support, VxWorks Device driver, Source code, Programmer documentation, Qty: 1 ea 4) VG5SK81051311 VME 6U Single Slot PPC, Qty: 3 ea 5) VTM2011001 I/O transition module for VG5, SATA, partly PMCIO1, GPIO, partly PMCIO2, RoHS, Qty: 3 ea 6) ABI-PMC2-2 MIL-STD-1553 Programmable Interface to PMC System, Vers.2. Full Function Dual Channel; Qty: 1 ea 7) 11050-201 4-CH HS Serial, Front/Back, RoHS, Qty: 3 ea 8) VXW2-BVG5 VG5 [PPC6UVME] Board Support Package for Tornado/VxWorks, Qty: 1 ea This requirement is intended to be sole source to GE Fanuc, 1275 Red Fox Road, Ste 250, Arden Hills, MN 55112. GE Fanuc is the only provider for this hardware because it is proprietary. Use of other hardware is unacceptable due to the requirement to match existing hardware in use by the MDA Targets program. This hardware will be used in verification and validation testing, and the use of hardware other than that which exactly matches the system being validated may bring the results obtained into question. Authority Cited: Statutory Authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by paragraphs 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) entitled- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this requirement is W31P4Q-10-T-0088. This solicitation is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, the clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. Delivery of the commercial hardware will be made FOB Destination to US Army RDECOM, SED, RDMR-BAT, Building 6263, Hackberry Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5260. Formal communication related to this acquisition should be directed to Janet Childers. This acquisition is intended to be sole source to GE Fanuc. However, all responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. In the event that multiple offers are received, award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. Offerors should include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer.
