Description
The following eight(8) points of additional pertinent information are provided for all whom intend to offer a quote for this service: 1. Nose gear is temporarily affixed due to crash and MLG may or may not require removal. Coast Guard may choose to use low time gear for fleet spares. 2. Both engines are low time since overhaul and needed for fleet spares. 3. Horizontal and Vertical Stabilizers were recently overhauled and many components and primary structures are in Ready For Issue (RFI) condition, and will be used for Fleet Spares. 4. The necessary insured value of the aircraft, while in the contractor's custody, is to cover any damaged incurred during maintenance and transport procedures. The aircraft property value is $5.2M (or 5.2 Million Dollars). 5. There will be no A&P Certified sign-off needed on components disassembled or sign-off on any stage of dismantlement. 6. The anticipated disposition of the aircraft parts/material is to maximize reutilizations of aircraft and components. 7. The aircraft will be placed in storage with the possibility of reclamation at a later date. We have numerous airframes stored at AMARG that we regularly use to reclaim hard to procure parts. All structural parts indentified by the Coast Guard will need to be removed IAW OEM procedures, packaged and transported properly because we intend to reuse these parts. 8. There are no objections to retracting the MLG versus removal provided this can be done without damaging the aircraft. In consideration of the aforementioned, the Closing Date and Time of this solicitation is extended to 4:00 PM EST, 25 March 2010. The original statement of work remains the same.
