- RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): Wood Bros., Inc. W912PL-10-C-0019, Santa Maria Levees, CA Project Number 074740, Santa Maria Levees, Reach 3 extends about 3.13 miles from Suey Crossing Bridge to Bradley Canyon Confluence. Improvements consist of an 8-ft wide and about 30 ft deep compacted soil cement section along the levee riverward side slope and 50 to 62 ft. deep and 1,700 ft. long steel sheet pile along the levee at the upstream end of the soil cement levee portion. Construction of the compacted soil cememt levee requires excavation of the existing ground to the approximate depth of 15 ft. to 20 ft. below the existing grade. Construction of 50-60 ft. deep steel sheet pile does not require excavation of the existing levee. Also included in the improvements are removal, disposal and installation of the levee signs, fences, and gates, along with resurfacing of road, extending of reinforced pipe culvert and stone work which consists of removal of existing 22 rock groins, and salvage and disposal of the removed material at a designated site.
