- This combined synopsis/solicitation is funded under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act and will be subject to additional clauses associated with that Act. This is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as RFP #N5565100001. The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Melrose mansion, located at Natchez National Historical Park in Natchez, MS has a requirement to provide all services necessary to clean and conserve the metal, glass, and fabric and all parts of the two large chandeliers. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811420 and the size standard is $7 million. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. ABBREVIATED STATEMENT OF WORK The contractor shall provide all services necessary to clean and conserve the metal, glass, and fabric and all parts of the two large chandeliers at the Melrose mansion, located at Natchez National Historical Park in Natchez, MS. Offerors submitting a proposal shall include a history of past performance related to preservation of historic items with a minimum of 3 references and their contact information. Offerors who do not provide past performance information will be considered non-responsive. A detailed statement of work and photos will be attached to the solicitation package. This procurement is a total small business set-aside being conducted as a Request for Quotations. This requirement is being issued as a combined synopsis/solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on March 19, 2010 and will be issued as an RFQ electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Bidders desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/j2ee/login.jsp This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification.
